Discussion About Application of Shallow Sand Filter in Turbid Circulating Water System of Refining Process in Steelmaking Unit of Iron and Steel Metallurgy Enterprises

The traditional treatment methods for the turbid circulating water system of refining process in steelmaking unit of iron and steel metallurgy enterprises are briefly intro duced. A new shallow sand filter process method is highlighted. The advantages and disad- vantages of various treatment methods are compared and analyzed. The eharacteristies and ad vantages of the water-saving shallow sand filter are discussed. Based on an example of the filter＇s application in the engineering, the energy and watersaving designs of turbid circulat- ing water treatment equipment are discussed.
