The project creates two simple round buildings. The museum locates itself at the former position of the Gauls during the siege on top of the hill above the town. And the Interpretive Center is at the former Roman position in the fields below. Their envelopes adapt through different materials to their various natural environments. In order torespond to the imperativeof modesty demanded by archaeologists, the architect tries to recreate the scene of historical events and respect the sensitive insertion of buildings into the battle site. To be both identifiable and invisible is the paradox and challenge of the project.
