With a brief review of the book Architecture of Additions： Design and Regulation, this article discusses several the concepts of ＇addition＇ and ＇public worth＇ mentioned in this book. Caughtin a continuous sprocess of overlapping and change, architectural heritage subjects to constant change after it was built. Preserving and adding to it is a kind of critical interpretation with the view of modernity. Due to its public nature, the expression of architectural heritage always enters into interactions with its public worth.
