Objective to investigate influence of dressing different time on the infection of periphery inserted central venous catheter(peripherally inserted central catheter,PICC) puncture site. Methods Chose 88 patients with peripherally inserted central catheter in our hospital from January 2010 to December 2011,and randomly divided the patients into three groups, according to the dressing change time, namely 1 d changed dressing group(group A) 28 cases, and 3 d replaced dressing group(group B) 30 cases,5 d replaced dressing group(group C) 30 cases.Observed infection situation of three groups. Results Compared to group A of patients with infection rate(7.4%),group B infection rate was(10.0%),with no significant difference and no statistical significance(P 0.05).Compared to group A of patients with infection rate(7.4%) and group B with infection rate(10.0%),group C infection rate was(23.3%),significantly increased, with significant difference, there was statistically significant(P 0.05).Conclusions The impact of replacing dressing 1d PICC catheter infection rate of puncture is obviously reduced, and replacing dressing more than 5 d is increased risk, and provides the scientific basis for clinical operation.
