The Doctrines of Five Major Chan Sects is rich in teaching art and teaching thoughts, mainly. teaching students in accordance with their individuality and personal understanding, varying teaching methods on the basis of the teacher-students relationship, discriminating students ＇ question types and identifying their intentions, enlightening students in bewilderment with concise language and paralinguistic techniques, drawing circular symbols to convey meaning, and establishing unique teaching style.
