First the common cow mastiffs detection methods were briefly introduced in this article, then detection methods and techniques which based on detecting somatic cell count were reviewed, problems and deficiencies of these methods were analyzed. Finally, suggestions for somatic cell count based detection methods and its application prospects were put forward.
