美国国防开支政策与军力增长关系探究

A Research on the Relationship between U.S. Defense Expenditure Policy and the Growth of Its Military Power

在详细回顾第二次世界大战后美国国防开支规模与结构变化的基础上,本文对1950年代以来美国国防开支政策变化与军力增长之间的关系进行了研究。研究表明,美国军事力量的不断提升,既不是国防支出持续增长所致,也不是军兵种经费结构、国防开支有机构成比例显著变化的结果,而是国防开支使用效率的提高所致。

By analyzing the scale and the structure of defense expenditures in the United States since World War II, and evaluating the effect of defense spending on the growth of American military power, the author finds that it is the efficient use of the expenditure rather than the growth of defense expenditures or the change of expenditure ratios in armed services and their branches that enhances the effectiveness of American armed forces.
