To usher in the first national Low-carbon Day （on June 17, to advocate the lifestyle of saving energy and reducing one＇s carbon footprint＊）, Liaoning （in Northeast China） Women＇s Federation and Shenyang （capital of Liaoning Province） Women＇s Federation launched, in Chengzhong Huayuan Community. in Shenyang＇s Heping District, the one-week publicity campaign of ＂Living a Low-carbon Life and Building Our Beautiful Homes.＂ During the week, more than 200 residents participated in various activities, such as watching puppet shows, with the theme of environmental protection, participating in competitions on knowledge about environmental protection, and receiving consultation services on knowledge about a low- carbon lifestyle.
