The emergence and development of the rural professional cooperative organizations in China＇ s rural areas is an inevitable trend in the agricultural development. China＇ s rural professional cooperative organizations are still in their early stage, but they are developing rapidly and presenting distinct characteristics. They have greatly promoted the development of agriculture and rural economy. Measures should be taken in order to develop rural pro- fessional cooperative organizations. This paper first analyzes the characteristics and important functions of rural pro- fessional cooperative organizations and then puts forward the ideas for further development.
