中国现代考古学的开创及其建构路向——论李济的考古学理论与实践

A Review on Li Ji’s Archaeological Theory and Practice as a Pioneer and Leading Rout of Contemporary Chinese Archaeology

在20世纪中国学术现代化的潮流中,考古学在国内的应运而生本是大势所趋,但能使它在如此短的时间里迅速发展为一门与国际接轨,且无论在规模还是成就上都足以跻身于世界学术之林的现代科学,则不能不首先归功于李济所领导的考古学团队。李济在考古事业中表现出来的民族发奋精神,对西方现代科学的追求和对传统学术的包容承继,以及勇于在实践中探索创新的气度,不仅为中国现代考古学的早期建构路向树立了一支标杆,也给后人留下了一笔值得尊重的学术遗产。

It was not unexpected that,during the academic modernization of China in the 20th century,archaeology made its debut as a branch of disciplines in this country,and the first credit should be given to Li Ji and his archaeology team for their contribution to making Chinese archaeology a modern science synchronized with the international mainstream and take its place in academia in terms of its scale and achieve in such a short period.Mr.Li Ji’s great efforts,his determined pursuit of western modern science as well as his inheritance of Chinese traditional knowledge,and his courage to explore and innovate in archaeological practice not only indicated a path to the construction of Chinese modern archaeology in its early stage,but also left to his followers with a valued academic heritage.
