摘要
中职生的家庭资源是影响其学业发展的重要因素。本研究调查了国内9个省市1185名中职生和高中生,探讨了中职生家长投入的现状特点及其与教养风格、学业投入的关系。结果发现:中职生家长投入水平显著低于高中生家长的投入水平;家长教养风格(自主支持/控制)调节了家长投入对中职生学业投入的预测作用。在自主支持的教养风格条件下,家长在家辅导、参与决策能显著预测学生学业投入的水平,而在控制的教养风格条件下则不成立。
Parental involvement refers to parents' work with schools and with their children to enhancetheir children's educational outcomes. The effects of parental involvement on children's academic outcomes are not clear. Previous studies indicated the important role of parenting style in children's academic development; Moreover,vocational school students,as the lagging-behind students in the academic domain,may need more support from parents due to their negative experience in schools. But the empirical research about the vocational school students is rare. Hence,the present study aimed to investigate the relationship among parent involvement,parenting style and vocational school students' academic engagement,and tried to identify the mechanism underlying the effect of parent involvement. Parental involvement and parents' autonomy support / controlling questionnaire as well as academic engagement questionnaire were administered to 513 vocational school students and 672 high school students from18 schools in China. The Cronbach's alpha for the three questionnaires is . 93,. 87,and . 82 respectively. Results indicated that: ① Parents of vocational school students were less involved than their counterparts in high school,t (1183) = 5. 318,p . 001. ② The effect of parent involvement on children's academic engagement was moderated by parents' autonomy-supportive / controlling style. The type of learning at home and decision making significantly predicted student's academic engagement under the autonomy-supportive parenting style,simple slope = . 339,t = 7. 34,p . 001 It's likely that vocational school students were more sensitive to the way in which their parents are involved than high school students. On the one hand,the current study portrays a picture of the parent involvement of vocational school students. On the other hand, it identifies the mechanism of parent involvement,highlighting the moderating role of parenting style in the effect of parent involvement in academic engagement.
