Combined with the transformation and application of side economizer in 3# coke dry quenching boiler, the coke dry quenching process, the feed water preheater, and the necessity and related transformation of side economizer were introduced in detail, moreover the using effect of side economizer is expounded from decreasing the temperature of coke exhaust, saving the seam and controlling the water temperature.
