The Review of Reforming Prostitutes Movement in Sichuan in the Early Days of New China's Foundation

文章以建国初期四川娼妓改造运动为研究对象,分别就建国前后四川娼妓问题概况、建国初娼妓改造过程及特点等方面加以分析,将四川娼妓改造与北京、天津比较,得出四川方式的特点和经验。文章主旨是展现共和国建设者们在处理社会问题时表现出的国家控制力,亦希望为解决当今社会严重的卖淫嫖娼问题提供一点借鉴。

The reforming prostitutes movement in Sichuan in the early days of new China’s foundation is the object of this study.The paper analyses the problem of prostitution before and after the founding of New China,progress and characteristic of reforming prostitutes movement in Sichuan in the early days of New China’s foundation.Compared Sichuan with Beijing and Tianjin,thus summarize the characteristics and experience of the reforming prostitutes movement in Sichuan.This paper hopes to show the state control force while builders of the Republic dealing with social problems and provide a little reference for solving the serious problem of prostitution in today’s society.
