对比修辞学视角下的翻译实践——以苏轼词英译本为例

Translation Practice from the Perspective of Contrastive Rhetoric——A Typical Example from the English Version of Sushi' Poetry

翻译作为一种跨文化的交流活动,涉及到翻译动机、翻译观念、文本分析、翻译策略等问题,翻译学的表达与修辞学的关系十分密切。不同的文化有不同的修辞需要和相应的修辞译文,因此,从对比修辞学的角度讨论翻译技巧的应用就显得十分必要。本文以苏轼词英译的典例,尝试从对比修辞学的视角对两篇译文做出比较,指出修辞学与翻译之间的关系。

Translation,as a kind of cross-cultural interactive activity,covers the problems of translation motivation,translation philosophy,text analysis and translation strategies.The expression in the translation is closely connected with the rhetoric.Different cultures have distinct rhetorical requirements and the corresponding rhetorical target text,hence it is of great necessity to discuss the translation technologies via the aspect of contrastive rhetoric.This essay compares the translation of the target text with the typical examples of the poetry from Sushi through the contrastive rhetoric,and points out the liaison relation between translation and rhetoric.
