Lycium barbarum polysaccharide （LBP） as watersoluble polysaccharide, isolated and extracted from dried Lycium barbarum fruits, is the main effective components of Lycium barbarum. LBP possesses a large variety of physiological activities and alluring application prospects. The progression of recent domestic and international research results on the extraction technology of LBP were summarized. Finally, the prospection of the Lycium barbarum polysaccharides was visualized.
