Using the tender notices of architecture service in Pearl River Delta as the data source, this research explores the characteristic of functional linkage in the city-region by the transaction of architecture services. The empirical study included marketing distribution of design firms, service flow crossing cities boundary and the localization of flow. This research finds that enterprises of architecture in Pearl River Delta have been in a crowded competition pattern in the enterprise level; while obvious characteristics of regional polarization can be seen at the city level and linkage between Guangzhou and Foshan is the largest flow in the region. As the architecture and city space has become media representation in the global era, architecture services would be more offered to the enterprises located in greater cities, at the same time the space practice would demand stronger localized services. As Guangzhou, Shenzhen become the gateway cities to link new technology and new concept under the background of globalization, and are also convenient in geography location and social networks as being adjacent to the other cities, and then get more treaties of construction business from PRD; in addition, the administrative level of city become another key factor to influence the ability to compete in the Architecture Services market.
