This book Wildland Recreation - Ecology and Management took the impacts and management of North American national park and wildland recreation as the research object and deeply analyzed and summarized the generating mechanism, changing laws, measuring methods, monitoring technical ways, and international trends of recreation impacts. It systematically summarized the results of international recreation impacts and management research since 1950s, as well as the technique results of protection management of national park in North America. It deeply analyzed the interactive relationships among recreation and natural factors, evolution characters of time and space pattern of recreation impacts, dynamic relationships between recreation carrying capacity and visitors use, and all these research results powerfully support ecological system management and recreation activities and facilities planning in national parks.
