In the description of traditional literatures, the identification and description of the series of books and the selection of description ways are always the difficult problems. This paper expounds some problems existing in the description of Chinese series of books, probes into several relationships in the description of series of books, and puts forward some measures for making the description of Chinese series of books tend to be more standardized, normalized and unified through making the most of the features and advantages of computer cataloging.
