Disabled Reader Service in Remote Education of Open University Library and Its Inspiration

英国开放大学图书馆利用远程教育的特点,为残疾读者提供易访问的网络环境与数据库资源以及邮资帮助、文献检索与文献转换等多种形式的服务,并推进虚拟学习环境资源的整合。文章以此为借鉴,提出我国高校图书馆应从政策制定、协调部门之间关系、保证网络资源获取无障碍、提供个性化服务等方面加强建设。

With the distance education, the library of Open University in UK provides the disabled with accessible network environment, database resources as well as various forms of services, such as postage support, document retrieval and document transmission, so as to promote the integration of virtual learning resources. By referring to the ca^e above, this paper proposes that colleges and universities in China should strengthen such library service through making policy, coordinating different departments, guaranteeing the access of network resources and offering personalized services.
