Through the analysis of seven aspects of crisis management practice in public libraries of Australia, such as developing crisis guidelines, preparing crisis plans, organizing staff training, providing quick response plans, collecting materials of crisis practice, providing collection protection plans and collection recovery methods, making organizations function well in ex changes and cooperation, the paper summarizes several good points that the Chinese libraries could learn from, which includes the emphasis on crisis management and crisis awareness, developing crisis plans to strengthen the guidance, paying attention to specific procedures and operational details, strengthening the collaboration between agencies, appealing to libraries to undertake the responsibility of community
