翻译伦理研究:需要走向更为开阔的视阈——国内“规范导向”翻译伦理研究反思

“Translation Ethics” or “Studies of Norms”?:Some Tentative Reflections on the Normsoriented Studies of Translation Ethics at Home

在我国,新世纪伊始兴起的翻译伦理研究很大程度上是作为译者主体性制约因素受到关注;在"制约"思路主导之下,伦理概念被众多研究者常识性地理解为"规范",而翻译伦理研究也多被界定为"研究并制订规范"。本文将具体分析国内这种以"规范"为导向的翻译伦理研究的内涵,并借鉴伦理学的当代发展,提出翻译伦理不可轻易等同于"规范伦理"或"规范研究"的观点。鉴于此,文章呼吁国内翻译伦理研究有待进一步拓宽视阈,发掘更多的研究"入口"。

Historically,'translation ethics'first caught the attention of domestic translation scholars at the turn of the century mainly as a constraining force on the so-called'translators subjectivity'.In compliance with the constraint-oriented theorizing,'ethics'has been simply conceptualized as'(ethical) norms',and accordingly studies of'translation ethics'are to aim at'researching and establishing norms'.This paper analyzes the ethical significance of the current studies of translation ethics at home,and by drawing on contemporary developments in ethics,the paper contends that'translation ethics'can not be simply reduced to or equated with'ethical norms'or'translation norms',and that studies of translation ethics at home require a wider perspective before systematic'ethical-approach translation studies'can be soundly established.
