美国高校储存图书馆及其启示

Depository Library and Its Enlightenment of American University Libraries

面对馆藏空间不足的困扰,以低利用率文献为存储对象、高密度为基本存储特征的储存图书馆应运而生。文章在介绍美国高校储存图书馆的基础上,对美国高校储存图书馆的两种建馆模式进行了分析,并提出其对我国区域性高校图书馆联盟合作存储的启示。

Facing the problem of insufficient storage space, depository library which takes low circulation literature as storage object, and high density as the basic storage characteristics emerge as the times require. Based on the introduction of depository library in American university libraries, the paper analyzes the two models of depository library in American universities, and points out the enlightenment to cooperative depository of recjional university library consortia in China.
