Song Meets Venezuelan Guests On July 9, Song Xiuyan, Vice-President and First Member of the Secretariat of the All-China Women＇s Federation （ACWF）, met Venezuelan National Assembly President Diosdado Cabello and his wife, Marlenys Contreras de Cabcllo. The couple had been invited to China by the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China （CPC）. Song spoke highly of the developing relations between China and Venezuela, and she pledged to help improve ties between Chinese and Venezuelan women. Song described China＇s efforts to protect women＇s rights and interests, Chinese women＇s participation in politics and ACWF＇s efforts to help Chinese women realize their dreams.
