摘要 Language and cognition are closely connected in a practical and conceptual way. To be exact, language is the use of sounds, grammar and vocabulary based on a system of rules used to communicate knowledge and information. Cognition can be thought of as the act or process of obtaining knowledge, including perceiving, recognizing, reasoning, and judging (Gander & Gardiner, 1981). Cognition involves thinking, knowing, remembering, categorizing, and problem solving. A hallmark of modern cognitive science is developing a theory of cognition that is powerful enough to encompass all human mental abilities,
