A Method to Limit the MAC Transmit Bandwidth in FPGA

随着网络技术的发展,人们对网络设备的性能需求越来越高,功能需求也越来越细。很多网络产品的带宽需求已不仅限于传统的十百千兆,需要实现更加灵活的带宽设置。提出一种通过干预MAC工作时序的方法,实现量化改变IFG,从而改变吞吐率,进而改变MAC的发送带宽。

With the development of network technology,people need the network equipment which has both high-performance and greater functional flexibility.In order to achieve a more flexible bandwidth setting,there appearmore and more network bandwidth demands which is not limited to traditional 10M／100M／1000M net.This paper proposes a method of intervention MAC timing,through modify the accuracy IFG,thereby change the throughput,and modify the transmit-bandwidth on MAC as well.
