With continued oil price rise and rich oil & gas resources, Papua New Guinea is attracting more and more international oil companies including China's and steadily becoming a new global hot spot for oil & gas exploration and development. The country has rich reserves of oil and gas resources whose location and size are examined herein, liberal foreign exchange policy, attractive tax policy, and significant oil and gas investment activity. However, exploration & development has been seriously hampered by infrastructure, land ownership, labor-cost and other issues.
