摘要
Objective: To investigate the effect of heroin on memory function in heroin addicts. Methods: Memory function of thirty-six heroin addicts and thirty-six normal controls was assessed with Wechsler Memory scale-Revised in China. Results: The memory quotient and the scores on such factors as picture recall, design reproduction, traction memory,story recall as well as digit span of heroin addicts were significant lower than those of control group (P<0.01).The impairment of memory function in heroin addicts was positively correlated with the dosage of heroin and duration of heroin consuming through further analysis. Conclusion: There was impairment of memory function to a greater or lesser degree in heroin addicts.
