膝关节疼痛是临床上常见的就诊原因之一，同一个患者在不同的医院，甚至同一医院的不同医师处就诊，常会被分别诊断成两种病：“髌骨软骨软化症”或“膝关节骨关节炎”。为什么会出现这两种情况呢，是医师的诊断水平的差异？还是这两种病本身就存在相互关联，或者就是一种疾病？为此，我们结合临床情况，复习了相关文献，

To question and discuss the diagnostic terminology, chondromalacia patellae. After consulting and reviewing the related literatures, it is proposed that chondromalacia patellae is just a process of early pathological changes of knee osteoarthritis, which should not be taken as the name of a separate disease. For such patients, knee osteoarthritis was the correct diagnosis, and the same treatment principle as that for knee osteoarthritis should be followed.
