摘要
ThemeRiver模型属于专题可视化结构样式,是将得到的大量信息资源集合在一起,按时间顺序构造一个类似"河流"的可视化显示方式,通过河流的方式反映主题强度信息的变化过程。ThemeRiver模型在处理时变多元数据上具有很大优势,既有宏观追踪又有微观分析,应用领域广泛。通过分析运用ThemeRiver的可视化典型系统及总结分析其特点,从经典ThemeRiver、3DThemeRiver和与其他可视化模型结合的ThemeRiver三部分,介绍随着多维时变信息的激增和用户需求的不同,ThemeRiver从产生、发展、到与其他模型的结合运用,在不同系统和模型中具有各自的信息展现重点,对比ThemeRiver模型的特点,可总结出发展演进规律。最后探讨了ThemeRiver在大数据时代的发展趋势,如何继续发挥更大作用。
ThemeRiver model belongs structures of theme visualization, which assembles a huge of information resources to structure a show mode similar to real river, through which reflect the change process of intensity of the documents information. The ThemeRiver model has great advantages in the treatment of multivariate time-series data, which can have both macro and micro analysis of tracking. In light of this, some typical systems using ThemeRiver were analyzed, including their characters, from typical ThemeRiver, 3D ThemeRiver and ThemeRiver conjugating with other visualization models, the origin, development, and combining with other models were presented with the surge of multidimensional variable information and different needs of different users, different systems and models emphasis the respective display information. Comparing to the characteristics of ThemeRiver models, development evolution rule could be summed up. The final part is about how ThemeRiver model continue improving and perfecting itself in the big data times to be used more widely.
