A Historical View of Purple-clay Teapot in a New Era

新中国建立后,紫砂壶生产在经过一段时期的沉寂与萎缩之后重新获得了生机,并筹建了宜兴蜀山陶业生产合作社,成立了紫砂工厂,这一时期,王寅春,朱可心,吴云根,任淦庭,顾景舟,蒋蓉等七位紫砂老艺人都进入工厂执教授徒,成为推动紫砂艺术在新时期的复兴的中坚力量,同时,一些知名画家、教授的参与也对紫砂壶新风格的产生影响卓著。

Since the founding of People＇s Republic of China in 1949, the production of purple-clay teapot has been revitalized after a dull period. Shushan Pottery Producers＇ Cooperative in Yixing as well as purple-clay- teapot factories has also been set up. Meanwhile, Wang Yinchun, zhu Kexin, Wu Yungen, Ren Ganting, Gu Jingzhou and Jiang Rong, the master craftsmen of purple-clay teapot, have came into the ceramic factories to hand down their craftsmanship to the younger generations. They served as the backbone of the cause of rejuvenating purple-clay art in a new era. Moreover, some renowned painters and professors have also exerted great influences on the new style of purple-clay teapot.
