摘要
文章基于新经济地理学的"中心—外围"理论,实证检验了到中心城市的距离对长三角城市人口规模增长的影响。研究发现,到南京和杭州两个次中心城市的距离对长三角城市人口规模增长的影响显示了新经济地理学理论预测的"∽"型规律,但到上海的距离对城市人口规模增长的影响并不存在这一规律。这表明,省会在塑造城市体系中扮演着更为重要的作用。因此,打破省际边界分割是优化区域城市体系的关键。
Based on the Core-periphery (CP) model of New Economic Geography, this paper empirically testes the influence of the distance to the core city on the urban-scale development in the Yangtze River Delta. The result shows that the relationship between a city population' s growth rate and its distance to sub-core city (Nanjing and Hangzhou) shows a cubic curve of shape, but the rule does not exist when we use the distance between the city and Shanghai. It indicates that capital cities play a more significant role in forming the urban system. Therefore in order to optimize the urban spatial structure, it is the most im- portant to change the provincial border.
