This thesis is concerned with safety of information carried by data in computer files, which is getting more and more important and inevitable in morden working, and de-scribesin detail an easy-going and practical encryption algorithm based on magic square. It is easyto understand and realize the rule derived from the moving of a magic square and is dif-fcult to deencrypt the data encryped by the algorithm from magic square. The paper brings forward some related questions and also gives the corresponding answers or suggestions feasible to adopt, such as key selection , steps to enhance and optimize the encrypting and so on. Providing many a measure is to make it more practical and simplied to utilize the algorithm, and it is recommended to have a look at the paper for those interested people.
