关于中国联通部署UMTS900的探讨

Discussion on UMTS900 Deployment Strategy of China Unicom

对中国联通部署广度覆盖而言,尤其是人口稀少的农村区域3G覆盖,UMTS900无疑具有相当大的优势。如何建设UMTS900,最大程度地降低对现网业务的冲击将是中国联通所面临的主要课题。通过在甘肃联通选取典型场景部署UMTS900,利用路测和网络性能指标等手段对比部署前后网络覆盖及服务质量的变化,并针对中国联通移动网络的特殊性,就如何实施UMTS900进行了分析和探讨。

With the advantage of UMTS900 deployed in rural areas with low population, the main issue for China Unicorn is how to construct UMTS900 and reduce impact for current service. In temas of the implementation of UMTS, this paper compares the network coverage and QOS between before and after the deployment by drive test and network property, and analyses the particularity of China Unicorn mobile network for the UMTS900 deployment by Gansu Branch of China Unicorn.
