清末民初铁路引发的社会矛盾及原因分析

An Analysis of the Social Contradiction Caused by Railway in Late Qing Dynasty and Early Republic of China

清末铁路的运营促进了近代中国社会的发展与进步,同时也引发了系列新型社会矛盾,主要表现在民众破坏铁路设施和殴打车站人员、铁路犯罪以及大规模收回路权的斗争等等。诸多的社会矛盾揭示出近代中国铁路贪污腐败引起民怨,路权丧失严重、外国势力肆意欺压百姓、民众利益受损,而当局对此解决不力等等激起民愤,导致社会矛盾日益尖锐复杂,加剧了社会动荡。

Railway appeared in China in late Qing dynasty, then it made great progress to mod- em Chinese society, at the same time, it caused some new social contradictions. They expressed that people demolished railway facilities, hit working persons, railway crime, regained sovereignty railway＇s rights and so on. So many social contradiction revealed that corruption of modem Chinese railway led to popular discontent, railway sovereignty lost seriously, foreigners bullied and oppressed common people wantonly, interests of people were injured, these contradictions were not handled properly by the authorities. Those questions stirred people＇ s wrath, finally, it led to social contradiction intense and complication which aggravated social unrest.
