The Great Famine in Ireland （ 1845 - 1852） was an important event in the history of Ireland which had great influence on the politics, economy and culture in Ireland and rebuilt the relationship between Ire- land and the UK. The potato famine resulted from the potato enzyme disease brought in the lack of food and it caused the Great Famine at last. The Great Famine lasted long time with hazard and great death. The Great Famine brought us enlightenments to the governmental intervening in the single food safety.
