宋公■作■叔子鼎與濫國

Songgong He Zuo Jianshu Zi Ding( 宋公■作■叔子鼎)and the State of Lan( 濫)

宋公■作■叔子鼎,■即瀸字,讀爲濫。■是由邾分化出來的小國,此鼎是宋共公爲二女兒出嫁所鑄。鼎的出土地棗莊徐樓村一帶是古書中所說的古濫國的地界。

On the inscription of Songgong He Zuo Jianshu Zi Ding( 宋公■作■叔子鼎),the Chinese character■should be 瀸,and it can be pronounced as Lan( 濫),which was a small state separated from Zhu( 邾) State. This tripod-ding was made by Duke Song when his second daughter married. It was excavated around Xulou village,Zaozhuang which,according to the documents,was in the area of Lan State in the ancient times.
