On Women's Appeal in “A Rose for Emily” from the Perspective of Narratology

As a great master of American literature, William Faulkner has attracted the world＇s attention for his excellent writing skill and story narration. He has created a series of famous ＂Yoknapatawpha＂ novels, among which A Rose for Emily is one of the most classic. This paper attempts to interpret his attitude about women＇s appeal from the perspective of narratology, especially the combination and transfer of narrative voice and narrative point of view. It＇s very helpful, therefore, to better understand the author＇s deep humanistic concern about women.
