Rural China Meets Climate Change Challenge:Developing Low-carbon Agriculture

全球气候变化,尤其是全球气候变暖已成为不争的事实。人类社会生产生活引起的温室气体排放是造成全球气候变化的主要原因。农业温室气体排放占全球温室气体排放总量的14%。发展低碳农业已成为当务之急。文章在探讨中国发展低碳农业意义的基础上,提出通过立法、利用财税和市场手段、增加低碳农业科技投入、加大宣传力度,转变农民传统生产观念等途径实现中国低碳农业。

Climate change, particularly global warming is unequivocal. Greenhouse gas emission via anthropogenic processes is the main cause of climate change. Agriculture provides 14 % of the world＇s greenhouse gas emissions. Developing low-carbon agriculture is the feasible way to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Based on the discussion on the necessity of developing low-carbon agriculture in China, this work pointed out the realization approaches of low-carbon agriculture in China： setting up relevant regulations and laws, making good use of both the finance and taxation policy and carbon markets, increasing the investment on science and technology of low-carbon agriculture and changing traditional agricultural production concepts by strengthening publicity.
