Characteristics of English Major Undergraduates and Educational Countermeasures

外语专业学生面对"多元文化交融"的学习环境,表现出思想开放、思维活跃、善于表达、行为多样、个性鲜明、注重自我价值等思想和行为特点。因此,外语专业学生特别要加强理想信念教育、爱国主义教育、社会责任感教育和国际视野教育,在教育路径上应坚持课内课外并举,教育管理并重,重点一般兼顾。

English major undergraduates, in the face of a learning environment teaturlng cultural diversity and integration, are characterized by their open-- mindedness, active thinking, expressivity, be- havioral diversity, distinct personality and their attention to self--worth. Accordingly, more attention should be paid to English majors＂ ideal and belief education, patriotism education, social responsibility education and international outlook education. Efforts should be made both in and out of class, education and management must be considered equally important and the focal points and the general must be balanced.
