In this paper the history and current situation of sheep and goat breeding were reviewed, and modern biological technology application was discussed, several problems in the sheep and goat breeding work were thought over. This has impor tant significance for building sheep and goat breeding technology system, improving the efficiency of breeding and technology level,realizing high quality and efficiency goat breeding breakthrough in key technologies.
