Brief Analysis of Mural Art in Public Spaces of Modern Cities

古老的壁画艺术发展到现代,已经演变成为一种涉及"多部类学科"的系统设计的综合艺术。现代壁画以其多元的内容、风格样式和功能,日益成为现代公共艺术的重要组成部分。与现代城市空间及人们的日常生活紧密结合在一起,其在现代城市空间中的作用是其它任何门类的视觉艺术样式所不能取代的。不但使现代城市建筑和建筑环境更具魅力,同时也极大提升和丰富了现代城市空间的人文和艺术内涵。洛阳城市公共空间壁画发展需要整体的规划,并探索必要的理论依据。

From the ancient time to the present day, the antique mural art has evolved into a comprehensive art in- volving the designing system of ＂multi-category discipline＂. Modem mural art has become important part of the modem public art because of its diversified contents, styles and functions. It closely linked with the modem urban space and people＇ s daily lives, and its role in the modem urban space can not he replaced by any other categories of visual art style. It not only makes the modem urban architecture and the environment more attractive, but also greatly promotes and enriches the humanity and artistic content of the modem urban space. This paper holds that the development of public space mural painting in Luoyang needs an overall arrangement and, at the same time, the paper also provides a necessary theoretical basis for the further development of space murals in Luoyang.
