Knowledge Management is a new managerial discipline in the knowledge economy of the Internet age.The key aims of Knowledge Management are the popularization of cultural and technological innovations,the accumulation of intellectual capital in organizations,and the improvement of organizational competitiveness.The paper analyses the teaching practices and curriculum of a postgraduate translation course in a British university by using Dalkir＇s integrated knowledge management cycle.The paper demonstrates that knowledge management is a useful theoretical tool to guide the construction of an research-based academic institution,and regards that these progressive features of this course are beneficial for the development of translation training and translation studies in China.
