A Study of the Folklore about the De'ang Ethnic Minority in Dehong

德昂族是德宏世居少数民族之一。由于其独特的自然地理环境、社会历史条件、风俗习惯和宗教信仰等原因,产生了丰富而具有民族特色的传说故事。德昂族的传说涉及德昂人生活的各个方面,有的还和一定的历史事件、地方风物和社会习惯有着密切的联系。分析研究德昂族民间传说,对少数民族非物质文化遗产的传承和保护具有重要意义。

The De＇ang ethnic minority is one of the native groups in Dehong. Due to the unique natural geo-graphical environment, social historical conditions, customs and religious belief, a large amount of folklore about the De＇ang people came into being, involving every aspect of their daily life. Some is closely tied up with their historical events, local scenery and social habits. It is of great significance to analyze and study the Dehng folk-lore in terms of the inheriting and protecting the minority intangible cultural heritage.
