The paper provides the basic connotation of certain technical terms and nomenclature in power supply and distribution discipline （including three-phase three-line system ＆ three-phase four-line system, earthing ＆ neutral earthing, one-point earthing ＆ muhipoint earthing, zero-sequence current ＆ residual current, and zero-sequence voltage ＆ residual voltage）, and analyzes in details based on practical application in electrical design for power supply and distribution discipline.
