摘要
达尔文的"乐源性语言进化理论"认为人类语言起源的第一个阶段为智力和复杂心理能力的发展,使得人类能发出多种多样的声音;第二阶段是在性选择压力下人类开始用喉音来发出真正有音乐意味的抑扬的调门,即歌唱;第三阶段即是为第二阶段的"歌唱"赋予相应的意义。但是达尔文的"乐源性语言进化理论"也存在一定的问题,如该理论不能解释句子意义的生成且性选择本应促使男性语言优先发展,为何现实中女性语言天赋高于男性呢?
Darwin＇s Musical Protolanguage claimed that the first stage of language evolution involved a general in- crease in intelligence and mental abilities, which were the prerequisites of producing sound. The second step was the attainment of evolution of vocal imitation by producing true musical cadences： singing, which was driven via sexual selection. The third stage added the meaning to the songs of the second stage. Despite its virtues, there are some problems which can not be solved by Darwin＇ s Musical Protolanguage, such as the explanation of sentence meaning and the problems of language evolution under the pressure of sexual selection.
