It is an urgent issue to improve the quality of undergraduate dissertations. The effective approaches to enhance the quality of dissertation adopted by the department of physics and electronic engineering of zhoukou normal university were introduced. These approaches are as following： innovating the teaching philosophy and diversifying the teaching goals,assig- ning supervisors to students at early study stage and establishing assistance teams between students, selecting the disserta- tion topic on the basis of teacher＇s scientific research and student＇s future career wish,supervisors providing the ＂guiding plan＂ and special instruction during the writing of dissertation. These approaches have played a positive role in improving the quality of dissertation.
