Objective: To investigate the effect of compound amino acid -20AA on improving the nutritional status and neonatal prognosis in late pregnancy with severe preeclampsia. Methods: Treatment of severe preeclampsia pregnant women in late pregnancy was ret- rospectively analyzed. 80 cases in the control group received routine treatment, 48 cases were treated with compound amino acid 20 - AA, 38 cases were treated with albumin. Serum protein levels, neonatal birth weight, umbilical artery PH value were compared. Results: There was no significant difference in decreased serum protein (P 〉 0. 05) before and after treatment with compound amino acid 20 - AA. Serum pro- tein were significantly higher than that of the control group ( P 〈 0. 05 ) after treatment with compound amino acid 20 - AA and albumin, there was no significant difference in serum protein between compound amino acid 20 - AA and albumin in the treatment groups ( P 〉 0. 05 ). The umbilical artery pH value was significantly higher than that of albumin group and control group (P 〈 0. 01 ) after application of compound amino acid 20 - AA. The neonatal birth weight had been increased after application of compound amino acid 20 - AA, but there was no sig- nificant difference between groups ( P 〉 0.05 ) . Conclusion: Compound amino acid 20 - AA can reduce and correct hypoproteinemia of se- vere preeclampsia pregnant women in late pregnancy and can improve the perinatal prognosis.
