摘要
美国意象诗派对闻一多的影响有两大表现:一是欲在国内引领文学潮流形成流派,二是创作很多色彩浓丽的意象之诗。但他对意象派诗激情澎拜时,并不全盘西化,而认为若强调真艺术,便是国家艺术而绝无例外。完全可以这样认为,中西结合是闻一多诗之创作的总体战略,三美则是他诗之创作的具体实践。这样,闻一多就于1928年出版了不仅代表他,而且也代表中国现代新诗成就的《死水》诗集。虽然这部作品不像在美时那样注重色彩表现出喷薄状态,但是色彩内敛其中的特点却依然鲜明。尤其内中诗篇意象的浓丽繁密,字句的凝练,结构的严密,思想的深邃,更兼之其虽为自由的格律诗亦有象征表现手法,这就不能不承认其为中国典型的新诗集大成者。
Wen Yiduo was affected by the American Imagists in two ways. One was that Wen desired the for-mation of the genre to lead the domestic literary trend. The other was that he wanted to create many colorful imagery poems. But his thought was not completely westernized even he was excited with Imagist poetry. He thought only the arts with national characteristic were the greatest arts. It could be deemed that the combination of Chinese and Western styles was the total strategy of Wen Yiduo' poem creation, and the three beauties were his specific achieve-ment of poetry creation. In 1928, he published the poetry "Stagnant water", which although was not so colorful as those produced in America described distinctive characteristics. This is why Wen Yiduo was a great master of the Chinese classic poetry.
