Influences of the Baogulao Spirit on Wei Yuan

邵阳古称宝庆,世人俗称宝庆人为"宝古佬"。魏源是宝庆人,自然具有"宝古佬"的性格。文章从宝庆的地理环境、梅山文化、民俗民风等方面阐述了"宝古佬"精神的形成,进而论述了"宝古佬"精神对魏源的影响,以及魏源思想对"宝古佬"精神的继承和发扬光大。

Shaoyang was called Baoqing in ancient times, and ＂Baogulao＂ was a nickel name for Shaoyang people. Wei Yuan, as a man from Baoqing, possessed the character of ＂Baogulao＂ naturely. This paper tries to expound the formation of the spirit of ＂Baogulao＂ from the aspects of geographical conditions, Meishan culture, and folk custom in Baoqing, and then the paper also discusses the influence of the Baogulao spirit on Wei Yuan and its inheritance and development in Wei Yuan＇s thought.
