中文心理学术语具有三个特点:基本概念体系引自西方心理学;术语产生方法以翻译为主;心理学术语翻译和使用尚欠规范。根据索绪尔能指和所指理论,心理学术语翻译可以分为三类:所指为主、能指为主、所指能指融合。心理学术语翻译要结合心理学术语特点选择最佳翻译策略。

Chinese psychology terminology has three characteristics： the basic conceptual system is borrowed from western psychology; terminology translation plays a significant role in term creation; the translation and use of psychology terms need to be standardized. According to Saussure ’s theory, terminology translation strategies can be divided into three categories： ＂signifier＂leve,l＂signified ＂level, fusion level of＂signifier＂and ＂signified＂. Both the characteristics of psychology terminology and translation strategies should be considered in the translation process. .
